Texas Center for the Missing, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and Clear Channel Outdoor (CCO) host a press conference each year to launch an annual month-long campaign across Houston to help generate leads in the case of the disappearance of a missing child. The digital billboards feature the missing child’s photo and Clear Channel Outdoor broadcasts messages with photos on its digital billboards throughout the Houston region over 1,200 times per day on each unit for one month.

This year’s missing child featured in honor of National Missing Children’s Day is Debra Moore. Debra was 14 years when she was seen on Sunday, July 20, 2025. She was known to be in the 600 block of Clear Lake Road located in Highlands, TX, which is in east Harris County. She is known affectionately as “Dawn”.

About National Missing Children’s Day

In 1983, President Ronald Reagan proclaimed May 25th National Missing Children’s Day. National Missing Children’s Day is a reminder to all parents and guardians of the need for high-quality photographs of their children for use in case of an emergency, and for the need for everyone to pay close attention to social media posts, posters and flyers of missing children.
