DSC_1683James Bond took on Austin Powers at the Super Spy Showdown benefiting Texas Center for the Missing (TCM).  Over 245 caring Houstonians came out to support Houston’s 24/7 Amber Alert provider and enjoy a night of spy-filled fun – and it led to a mission accomplished!

DSC_1510 - CopyDSC_1581 - CopyThe evening was held at The Corinthian in Downtown Houston and included a live auction, big board auction, and paddle raising.  The guests rallied throughout the night to support the worthy cause while enjoying amazing food and signature cocktails by Jackson & Company.  During the evening, DSC_1310Tiffany & Randall Wong were awarded the 2016 Gabriel Lester Citizen Hero Award for their dedication to keeping children and elderly in our community safe.

Overall the event raised $204,000 for the organization!  DSC_1893These funds will go to Internet Safety classes, Amber Alert activation, and Child ID Kits for local families.  Every year Texas Center for the Missing serves more than 10,000 people and directly works with more than a 100 families to recover missing children and endangered adults.  As Houston’s Amber Alert provider for the 14-county Houston-Galveston region, Texas Center for the Missing receives no federal or state funding for this life-saving program, thus fundraisers like the February 19th event are paramount to providing this invaluable service to our community.

DSC_1212The event co-chairs Jodi Lou, Lindsay Stout, and Nadine Boutros ensured the event was a success and kept the party lively.  Beth Alberts, CEO of Texas Center for the Missing, along with TCM Board Chair Allen Shindler and Mistress of Ceremonies Chau Nguyen, kept the focus of the night clear – to raise the
needed funds to bring Houston’s missing back home.

DSC_1333The night was made possible by our generous underwriters, including our Presenting Sponsors Stephanie & Mark Deverka and Light Charitable Trust / Courtney & James Robertson.

The night closed out with music by DJ Johnny J that kept the party dancing late into the night.  As our dedicated spies and attendees finally said goodnight, it was apparent that the Houston community had successfully rallied behind this great cause – and had a wildly good time in the process!

Thank you to everyone who made the night such a fun success!
